Appearance

Sedums have thick, water-storing leaves that range in shape from rounded to needle-like depending on the variety. Their colors can vary from green to blue-green and even red tones when exposed to bright sunlight. Many sedums grow in mounding or trailing forms, making them suitable for pots, rock gardens, and hanging planters

Care

Sun/Location – Sedums prefer bright light to full sun. Outdoor sedums tolerate several hours of direct sunlight, while indoor sedums should be placed near a sunny window. Too little light can cause the plant to stretch and lose its compact shape

Soil/Pot – Plant in a well-draining cactus or succulent mix. Adding sand, perlite, or pumice helps improve drainage. Sedums grow well in shallow pots or containers with good airflow around the roots

Watering – Water only when the soil is completely dry. Sedums are drought-tolerant and sensitive to overwatering. Reduce watering during cooler months or when the plant is dormant
